  1. Latoya,
I found it interesting that some of the research topics being addressed by Early Childhood Australia seem to be similar to that of issues being discussed here in the United States. Issues of quality, accessibility and support for families are definitely areas that we need to strengthen within the field. Considering the fact that some of the issues being addressed in Australia are similar to that of the United States, do you think both countries may benefit by collaborating on these issues?

  2. Hi Latoya,
My goal is to stay informed on research in other countries. This will allow us, to improve our practice and be able to inform others.Early Childhood Australia is the peak early childhood advocacy organization, acting in the interests of young children, their families and those in the early childhood field. The website is well organized and beneficial to parents, educators, and others who are active in promoting the best practices in early childhood. The website gives information for those who want to learn more about early childhood issues in the form of journals, magazines, and newsletters.
The national organization of Early Childhood Australia is governed by:

    a National Board of Directors
the members are representatives of the Early Childhood Australia state and territory branches.
The National Board of Directors is required to act in the best interests of the organization as a whole. The work of the national organization is supported by the National Office.

  3. Hi Latoya,
With such a push towards high quality early childhood education, I think it would be more effective and smarter for our country to partner with countries that are successful and leaders in the field of providing accessible and affordable education for all families. We are taking a step in the right direction by becoming better informed and educated about what is happening outside of our country.

  4. Hey Latoya,
The website is a good resource to keep as future references as to what other countries do for their children, parents, and professionals. They even have meetings for review and training and to catch up on anything that has been missed. The ECA is well organized and care about what they do. We can gain to learn much by using some of their practices. Thanks for sharing,
    Pam
