WORDS OF INSPIRATION AND MOTIVATION

Quotes from Marian Wright Edelman

" It is the responsibility to every adult... to make sure that children hear what we have learned from the lessons of life and to hear over and over that we love them and that they are not alone."

" Understand and be confident that each of us can make a difference by caring and acting in small as well as big ways."

Quotes from President Lyndon B. Johnson

"Education is not a problem. Education is an opportunity."

" There are no problems we cannot solve together, and very few that can solve by ourselves."

Quotes about passion, motivation and wisdom (Professionals from media)
" Passion is like a ripple that is an ongoing process." You bring ideas into action into changing policies, purpose and influence in research.( Leticia Lara LCSW)

" Passion is intrinsic motivation that comes from within. Create opportunities for parents/ children and making interventions to meet children's needs."( Raymond Hernandez)

ADDITIONAL QUOTES THAT I FIND INSPIRING AS I PROCEED THROUGH THIS COURSE

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Nelson Mandela

"The best thing for being sad," replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, "is to learn something. That's the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.”

What fuels my passion for the Early Childhood field

My daughter is the one that fuels my passion for my work

Story of child that touched my heart

The story of a child that touched my heart was a little boy that was born with cancer and his parents were not aware of his situation until when he was one year old. Each time that he was in pain he always told his mother to pray for him so that the pain would stop. He actually did a few surgery on him but the cancer spread because it was one that was rare and his parents were not able to find the funds to meet his needs. Upon making their situation problem, the child eventually died. His story touched my heart a lot because though he was in a situation wherein his parents felt a lot of sorrow, he was their to motivate them to be strong and happy. His mother told the media that whenever the little boy was in pain and she was crying he always told her not to cry because Jesus will take the pain away. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

Image of Child's drawing

I chose this picture because here you can see the child assimilating what she knows and understand about being a member of a family. From knowledge gained she is able to create images of her family members using the basic shapes to represent different parts of the body. I also chose this drawing because it reminds me of my own experience as a child expressing myself through art and craft.

I chose this story, " The Three Little Pigs as it is a story that depicts perseverance, determination, unity and dedication. As a young child growing, it has been one of my best story that I liked listening to on a daily basis. It has led me to understand that no matter what may happen in life I should never up but rather press on as change will come if I just believe and have faith.
